Baseball, The Voice & Friendly Competition

I got this pic from Competitor Magazine. I just love all their faces- hopefully this result was friendly competition. Although, if I was in their shoes, I’d probably look just as crazed to tear down that tape. Winking smile

I also enjoyed this article about picking your tired butt off the ground even after defeat during your running journey. John Bingham describes a funny occurance I had to share with you fellow runners:

“I finished the Rock n’ Roll San Diego Marathon so dehydrated one year that I sat in my car naked because I didn’t realize I had taken off my running clothes but hadn’t put on my street clothes” (Competitor Magzine, 30).

Did I mention that I miss baseball? Only 8 weeks until opening day!

Did I also mention that I’m really enjoying the Voice? It’s a pretty good show, much more dynamic than American Idol. I watched tonight & played a game with Emily & Kevin. Just like the judges, we closed our eyes until the contestants finished their songs.

You see, the contestants sing their song to the judges backs. If a judge likes the way they sing, they can press a button and their chair will turn around. This means the judge wants them to be on their team. If multiple judges turn around, then the contestant gets to choose. It’s pretty fun, although we only remembered to close our eyes for about 2 contestants out of the 15 or so!

I have to say, I’m not a huge fan of Christina Aguilera; she’s too diva for me.

Did I ALSO mention that I’m attempting to wake up at 5:30am tomorrow for the first time since my nursing home job? But this time, I’m going to run.. we will see how this goes in the morning.
