I want you guys to meet my new friends I met on the plane courtesy of Sky Mall.
They’re the weird garden gnomes/scare crows I have ever seen!

So far, New York has turned out to be an amazing city! We arrived Thursday in the early evening after a full day of travel. We vegged out a little before Kevin’s cousin got off work and met us at an Asian Ramen restaurant.
It was sooo good- or maybe it just could have been my delirium from only eating one meal that day.
The restaurant was called Hide-Chan and it was one of the best ramen places I have ever been to! Again- this may be because of the lack of food in my stomach, we will never know.

I have a pork bun and the miso ramen. Yumm!
After dinner, we walked around a bit and explored the city. Kevin’s cousin has lived here for about 6 years so she knows her way around the city! I didn’t fall asleep until 2AM- which is only 11PM Pacific time, so I really went to sleep super early! ![]()
We spent the next day in Central Park! So much fun, I will have to recap when I get home. There are way too many awesome pictures that I want to share with you guys!
I love New York, so far, for one main reason. Well- actually two reasons.
-
Things are open here later than 10pm! My friends and I, being in college, love to go out to eat and do fun things after well all get off work and out of class. The only problem living in the O.C. is that everything closes before we get off. New York is NOT the case. I was so happy to see that the Ramen place was open until 4AM! What?!?!?!

I love that everyone is SO active here! There are TONS of runners! It makes me so excited to begin my training again TOMORROWWW!!!!!

I was talking about how much everyone moves in NY with my friends. We concluded that, because NY is so much of a walking city, everyone here is generally more active.
A body that is in motion stays in motion. With all those endorphins flowing from walking 3 miles to get from here to there in order to save on cab fare, I think it makes people love working out and want to go out for a run. And, with Central Park as you backyard, why the heck wouldn’t you want to?!
Now I am off to root for the Angels- AT YANKEE STADIUM!!! I’m a little excited, if you can’t tell.
Hopefully I will have a recap of the day for you guys tomorrow!
As far as working out goes, my feet have taken the brunt of all this walking about. I already have 3 blisters! Which should make for an awesome run tomorrow in Central Park
.

From my feet to yours~ Kay
