A Day At Knotts Berry Farm

Happy Friday!!!!! I am so excited that today is Friday. I have no idea why- it might have something to do with the fact that tomorrow will be spent with Kevin, which is something we have not got to do in awhile!

But, before I talk about the weekend, I want to recap Emily’s Birthday!!!

Yesterday morning, a bunch of us headed down to one of the best breakfast places in south Orange County, Break of Dawn!

Besides the fact that this restaurant is about 100 feet from my favorite running shoe store, Break of Dawn is delicious and, as you can see, we were very excited to eat there!

When I get to heaven, I seriously need to remember to ask God why he gave me the urge to pose for pictures like a crazy person… I am pretty sure Kevin would like to know the answer, too.

Cute picture of Emily and Christina. But I don’t know why Christina looks so sad. ;)

Cute picture of Emily and Brian.

Once breakfast was done, we drove up to Buena Park to go to a place that I have not gone to in what feels like forever…

There is something you should know about me. I am very conflicted when it comes to my love for roller coasters. One the one hand, I cannot wait to go to Disneyland to ride space mountain and have a blast on all the other rides. However, whenever I go to Knotts, I am terrified of one ride:

I am so terrified of it that I can’t take a picture of it without my finger in the way. ;) Anyway, Brian had the great idea to go on this ride first so we could “get it over with”. People- this ride shoots you straight up 300ft. in the air and then proceeds to DROP you 300ft back down to the ground. I can still remember going on this ride when I was 8 and crying the whole way up. So, yesterday, while waiting in line for Supreme Scream, I was determined not to go.

My friends had different ideas. Kevin reassured me that it would be fun and I would not puke my guts out like I told him. However, I still would not budge. That was, however, until Emily offered a deal with me: If I went on supreme scream for her birthday, she would run a freaking 10K with me this year!!!

Um- if you are wondering if I rode the ride, then stop wondering. OF COURSE I DID!!! I have wanted to run a 10K with Em for FOREVER! This picture was taken after we rode (my hands were still shaking like crazy, btw) and Emily realized that my end of the deal lasted about 23 seconds, while hers will last for a few months. I cannot wait to train with her!

After Supreme Scream, I was faced with another fearful, yet super fun ride, The Accelerator:

I wish that we had picked a nice kiddy ride to go on in between these 2. After we were done riding Accelerator, I felt like I was going to pass out! Fortunately, I was fine and we all had a great rest of the day!

We took pictures while eating Tic Tacs while waiting in lines for rides…

And Kevin won a Christmas moose in one of the arcades! He then proceeded to take a picture with creepy eyes…

After we left the park, we met up with a few more friends and my dad and brother at BJs for dinner. I will be honest, I ate about 2 bites of my chicken salad. I just wasn’t hungry! I think it was all the loopy rides we went on- my stomach was not very pleased with me. It was so much fun hanging out with Em and all our friends, doing impressions of The Cowardly Lion and talking about sports. I just love my friends and family!

Today’s schedule is similar to Wednesdays- I have my internship for most of the day and then I am off to dinner with my man. :) I will have to update you guys on my internship tomorrow because it deserves its own post! For now, I will leave you with this- I LOVE MY INTERNSHIP!!! It is perfect. That is all.

Until tomorrow, my friends!

My Question For You Is…

Roller coasters- yay or nay?

See Ya~Kay

  1. Roller coasters are a MUST! I love them but haven’t been on one in a while.

  2. Ahhhhh, I cannot believe you went on those roller coasters!!! I’m so scared of them. I’m scared of heights and I get the thing where your stomach drops when you fall REALLY easily, so it’s definitely not a good combination. I like the idea of them and I actually really wish I could ride them, but it’s just too terrifying, haha.

    • Me too!!! I think that is why I couldn’t eat dinner because, after a day of crazy drops and loops, my stomach was angry with me! :) have a great weekend!
