Hey guys! Today I am feeling a bit random, and it may just be because my schedule has changed a lot over the past week- who knows. In any case, I want to share 2 completely unrelated things with you all today, so I hope you enjoy!

Completely off the subject, doesn’t this chick look too sad to be working out?
At my new gym, I have been introduced to the world of elliptical and bike interval workouts. On my first day of my internship, I was asked to tape interval workouts on all the cardio equipment. I figured that these intervals were similar to the machine’s given workouts that I follow quite often.
However, I was pleasantly mistaken.
The next day, one of the head trainers and a regular member were running and asked if I wanted to join them in some cardio. I, of course jumped at the chance to take a break from sitting at a desk and joined them!

The workout we did on the elliptical was as follows:
20 seconds of sprinting and 20 seconds of rest for 4 minutes
30 seconds of sprinting and 20 seconds of rest for 4 minutes
12 seconds of ALL OUT sprinting and 8 seconds of rest for 3 minutes
&& finally, the “OMG spring interval workout” on the spin bike
I am too lazy to do so now, but I will make a “pin” for your guys to put on your Pinterest pages of this workout so you can use it for your cardio workouts! I absolutely loved doing this workout. Sure, it was crazy difficult- but that’s why I loved it so much! In the past, my elliptical workouts and bike workouts were super lame unless I was doing a spin class. But, after 20 minutes of this cardio workout, I had burned almost 400 calories! What the eff?!?! Talk about a good workout!
The second thing I want to share with you all is my new nightly routine. Well- some of this routine has been around since circa 1998, but a lot of it is new to me and I actually enjoy it! Here it is:
First thing when I get home, I clean out my car from the days business and do a little laundry. I am trying to be more productive during the week so that, on the weekends, I can enjoy myself and relax more!
Then, I cook dinner and fold laundry while watching some T.V.
Of course, I eat my dinner while sitting on the couch or eating with Kevin/my family/ those 2 groups of people are 1 in the same:)

Then, I shower and lay in bed while looking like an eskimo of some sort. I am not really that cold. I just hate the feeling of a hood from my sweatshirt on my neck while I sleep, so I created this little hair due to help fix this problem.

I then read, blog, and watch some T.V. on my iPad while falling asleep!
Speaking of which, it is 11:30pm as I write this and I really should be heading to sleep. I will talk to you all tomorrow!
See ya~ Kay

sounds like a great relaxing night routine. it is all about routine for sleep troubles for sure

To really is helping!! Especially the reading- it helps take my mind off of all the things that race through my brain at night.
This makes me wish I had access to a treadmill haha…I’ve been itching to try these intervals for a while since I see them all over the place, but alas, no luck in that department for now…and I love your routine…reminds me of mine (minus the staying up till 11:3o…I wish I could stay up that late haha), which is usually a great way to end the day
