Thankful Thursday: A Recap of My Day & #28DBC

I woke up this morning without any time to write a blog post. But, that ended up being the best thing to happen to me. Why, you might ask? Because it gave me time to think of what to write about for today's Thankful Thursday post! Thanks again, Jessie, for creating such a rad link-up!

Upon arriving at school this morning, I grabbed some coffee and headed to class. I was trying my darnedest not to buy coffee this semester and, rather, bring my own each day. However, my coffee maker is making my coffee taste kind of like rubber mixed with dirt and I just don't have an appetite for that in the morning. :)

After my first class, I changed into my workout gear and hung out for a bit before Ultimate Frisbee started. Yes- you head me right- I am taking ultimate frisbee… AND it counts towards my major! Gotta love majoring in Kinesiology, right? :) This was the first thing I felt grateful for- my ability to wear comfy workout clothes pretty much anywhere and have it be considered socially acceptable by my peers and colleagues. I used to feel like a slob for wearing those clothes all the time, or like Kevin wouldn't think that I was pretty. However, I soon realized that, as long as I showered and didn't wear shirts from the 5th grade, that I looked pretty darn good in tights and a cute workout tee! So that's thankful fact #1 of my day.

Thankful fact #2 is pretty self explanatory. 1 word. I mean- 3 words. I mean- a group of words: Greek yogurt, cinnamon, pumpkin seeds, strawberries, and granola. Oh- here's one more. Yum. ;)

After frisbee, I headed to the gym to do some weights- specifically legs. And I may or may not have hopped onto the spin bike for 15 minutes. I am trying to keep Tuesdays and Thursdays to weights, but I just can't help it- I am a cardio junkie and need to get some run/spin sweat on everyday!

During my lunch break, I snagged a turkey sandwich along with an iced tea and come Sun chips. I wasn't took keen on the chips and ended up throwing most of them out. But- the sandwich was super tasty! It was so nice to be able to sit down for an hour and a half and get some work done on the computer while listening to music. I am usually so pressed for time that I hardly ever get to sit down and be by myself for more then 15 minutes. Thankful fact #3 is my school schedule for this semester. And fact # 3 1/2 would be that it is my last semester!

While surfing the net, I stumbled upon Katy's 28 day Blog Challenge she is doing for the month of February! I signed up just in the knick of time, with today being the last day of January and all. This is definitely my thankful fact #4 because I have needed to make some changes in this department! Her challenge to any blogger who wants to participate is simple and much needed for this blogger- create 28 goals to improve your blog/website during the month of Feb. If you complete all your goals, she has some pretty darn cool prizes! 1 of those prizes includes Pop Chips for a whole month- which I FOR SURE have my eye on!

I will be sure to recap with you all about my progress. One of the things I am most excited about is improving my blog to help you guys better yourselves! The reason why I started HKPlace was as a platform for exercise and healthy living, and I want to make sure I stick to that and help you guys any way that I can!
