Hey, guys!!! Happy Monday!!! How was your weekend?
My weekend was pretty awesome. On Friday night/Saturday morning, I got a whopping 10 hours of sleep! Can I get a yeayuh?! I cannot remember the last time I slept more then 7hrs. But, for some strange reason, I was completely zonked Friday night after spending time with my friends at sushi & passed out the moment I hit the pillow. Hey, I will take it!
Over the weekend, Kevin and I talked about how his personal trainer went on the Paleo Diet. According to Kevin, his trainer is feeling better then ever! He has more energy, is stronger at the gym, and is sleeping like a baby. I know I could use all 3 of those things, but the Paleo Diet kind of scares me. Kevin has been wanting to do it for awhile, now, as have I. However, I am not sure I can take the plunge completely until I do some research & maybe try out a few Paleo recipes to see how I dig it.
Speaking of Paleo recipes, I saw in Cassey's blog recently a yummy-looking Paleo Muffin Recipe that I just had to try! I made mine with blueberries & guys, they turned out delicious!!! I plan to eat them for my breakfast every. single. day.
I had some a pretty stellar weekend on the workout front…
On Friday I headed out Friday morning w/ my dad for an easy 3 mile run, followed by a crazy workout at work! I completed an upper body weight circuit, a lower body weight circuit, & 20 minutes of cardio. Boy was I sore afterward! It was so worth it, though!
After my awesome sleep sesh Saturday, I did NOTHING!!! Oh my gosh, I needed this so badly. Even on my “rest” days, I have been squeezing in runs with clients or doing group classes at work. Needless to say, I spent the morning lying in bed watching T.V. and reading mindless magazines. Which is my favorite kind of workout.
For the first time in a very long time, I woke up Sunday & headed straight to a new-to-me yoga studio for a level 1 yoga class. I still am not too sure about this studio. I think I need to try the level 1/2 class because I haven't felt like I have gotten a good stretch/ workout the past 2 times I have tried a level 1 class. We shall see!
I am pumped and ready for this week to start! This morning, I am teaching a Cross Fit class at work for the first time & boy am I excited! Let's just say that the members have a fun class in stored- or, at least the warm up. One word- ZUMBA!
I hope you are having a wonderful day so far & I will talk to you soon!
