Kevin and I decided a few years back (after a horrible attempt to make a reservation for Valentine's Day) that we would pick our own Valentine's Day. Because our 1/2 year anniversary falls on Feb 19th, we normally go out on that day. However, our schedules are way crazy this semester & Tuesday just did not work. So, we celebrated our loove last night with dinner and Netflix watching!
After church, we dressed up & drove down to Laguna Beach to go to a restaurant we discovered a few weeks ago. Here is the thing about Kevin and I- we LOVE trying new food. So, sometimes when we are bored, we will drive to a random city & look for a restaurant that has a huge crowd. That is how we know the food there is good. Well, that is exactly what we did a few weeks ago….
Saphire is a small restaurant in Laguna Beach that has American fusion-type meals, but then makes them special in some way! A few weeks back, we had gone here to get some dessert, but after looking at the menu, we had a second dinner, instead! #sorrynotsorry
Because our dinner reservations were not until 8PM, any picturing taking was out of the question. I just had to show you how awesome we looked, even if it looks like Kevin's head is floating because he is wearing a black shirt. HA!
I got this dress from ModCloth specially for the dinner last night. It just screamed “Kaylie” and “Valentine's Day” so I knew it'd be perfec for last night's dinner. Funny thing? When I asked Kevin how I looked, he said “I like your dress- it looks very YOU.” Mission accomplished!
Throughout dinner, Kevin and I talked about a new adventure we are going on together, starting Monday. You guys will have to wait until tomorrow to find out! It has to do with food, and it was funny the looks we got from the people sitting by us.
Here is a fine-looking couple, if I do say so myself
eating amazing food, and talking about food and sport's performance. Yep- you know it! That is just us.
This picture wasn't from last night, but it was from another date we went on. What can I say- I got cold when we got home!
After dinner & amazing Banana Bread Pudding, we headed back to my house to watch comedy shows on Netflix. Kevin actually stayed over until 12AM! We have both been so tired lately that we have called it a night before 11PM for weeks. Last night, Kevin was going to go home, but I could tell he wanted to stay and hang for a little- which is just fine by me!
Today, we are spending the morning at the track. After that, we are groery shopping for our food adventure starting tomorrow! I can't wait to share it with you guys!
Hope you have a wonderfully relaxing Sunday & I will talk to you tomorrow!
See ya~ Kay
